F Bass Fretless 5-String Anyone?

Hey gang - just throwing this out there, but I'm thinking of selling my five string fretless F Bass. Built in 1993, it features a lined fingerboard and upgraded flamed maple top (and pickup covers). The neck was also constructed using beautiful flamed maple. A couple of small dings and an extra strap button hole on the lower bout, and some minor "worming" on the alder back. There is also a small 1-1 1/2" crack on the back of the neck around the 1st-2nd fret (see last pic). It was there when I bought the bass in 2000 and hasn't moved a bit. More importantly, I showed in to F Bass founder George Furlanetto and he felt it wasn't anything to be concerned about. In fact he said that if it ever developed into a problem he would replace the neck under warranty. The bass itself plays great and sounds wonderful - terrific fretless "mwahh". If I do let it go I’m probably looking for cash but may be swayed by the right Rickenbacker related trade. If anyone would like additional info please e-mail me at [email protected] .

Yeah, those F basses are very nice. I love those matching wood pickup covers. I was listening to a bassist in a jazz trio play a fretless F bass at my buddy's restaurant a few weeks ago. It sounded almost as nice as my fretless Ricks.
