My first Ric has arrived!!!!!!!

My first Ric (620/12) came in a parcel today.
It's far smaller than I imagined it would be. But with it being a lefty, I expected it to be in a silver case. It didn't. It came in the black case.
Had some trouble with the electronics when I played my first chord. (twas a generic but ringing G) but after the pickguard had been taken off and a bit of rummaging around with the lead, all seems to be working ok.
It sounds great! Very jangley as you'd expect.
And now I know what people mean by THAT smell!!! It is a very special moment indeed to open the case for the first time and have that aroma wafting up your nose as you pick up the guitar. Pics will follow soon (even though you've probably seen hundreds already).
Thanks for reading. Believe me, I'm a very happy 17 year old!!!!!

I can't put the pics on because my 'uploaded image exceeded the maximum dimensions of 600x600.'
Can anyone help?

Or you can resize them in Photoshop.

Or, you can use this online tool to create the thumbnail with less than 500x500 dimensions:

Well done Will, you made a wise choice for your first.
I thought there was a federal mandate requiring one to be at least 40 to purchase a new Rick. Now you tell me!
Congrats!

Noooo, i'm not gonna wait 12 more years! Especially given it's too late to decide to wait.
Now, perhaps, time to tell the whole story, Will? How and where did you get it? Is it a brand new one or used? Looks gorgeous. Did you get the mails with resized pics, BTW?

Will,
I've probably told this story a hundred times, but I remember opening the case of my first RIC...all I could do was stare...I could hardly pick it up. Congrats!!!!

So, that's exactly the one you were talking about some time ago, not being sure whether to go for it or not? Glad you've taken the right decision & went for it. As far as chips are concerned - well, i'm sure that'd be the player, not a kind of a "museum piece", so you won't be able to avoid chips or scratches anyway at all (albeit i'm sure you'll be careful & will treat the guitar right. Right?

)
