hello there, I have a 4003 and want a silver metal scratch plate, and a neat something or other to make good the pick up since I removed the thumb rest. Can any of you guys or girls help me source them?? I live in Nottingham England. Many thanks.

I am not sure what you mean about "making good the pickup". Are you talking about the large gaps that are visible when the pickup cover is removed?

Tony at The Pickguardian does excellent work. You won't be disappointed.

Whoever it is he's obviously a blasphemer of the highest order.

Didn't start out looking like this?
I did not like red at first but this one has really grown on me.

Even worse! It had Seymour Duncans in it. And TWO glow-in-the-dark rubber knobs.
At least, that's what I heard...

Glow-in-the-dark knobs, sweet! I briefly played the blasphemer's bass at the 75th. Quite nice, actually. It does not photograph well IMHO. It looks better in person.

I recently got my hands on a red one just like the one above...I think it's my all-time favorite.
Funny thing about the red/black 4003's...people seem to either love them or hate them.
