Hi, guys. Got some great news: my 360c63/12 is due in this week!! I was wondering about the fireglo finish on it. Does the c63/12 have the same pink in the center like the newer models or is it more like the vintage fireglo with clean woodgrain in the center?

I got to see one in person and while the Fireglo didn't look quite ambered, it had a vintage look about it, not like the normal ones. Quite unique and beautiful.

Thanks, John. I am a little excited. This will probably be the longest week I have lived in quite a while.

John, I will definitely bring it by to show it off. Chris said hopefully I should get it by the weekend, but I will let you know so we can line up a time when you are in.

John Hall has stated the the 360/12C63's do not have a pink tint to them.

Well, Mr. Hall is wrong. Mine clearly has a pink center. However, I have not seen a C63 that looks exactly like Georges yet, so I am not too upset. It still is a very good looking guitar, but not as accurate as they say.

What would you say the differences are, Mark?

Thanks for the responses, guys. I must say I like a pink center for my steaks, but not my guitars. That is a little troubling to me. The pictures I have seen didn't look pink, but we all know that color is subjective in photography. I guess I will just have to hope that mine is not too pink.

I will try to get a picture up. Instead of the white to red, it is a very smooth transition. in the right light, it kinda looks a little orange.

Mark, thanks for the photos. I see what you mean. I can live with the orange just fine. That sort of reminds me of the vintage amber that a lot of guys say the wood takes on as it ages. I was looking at a photo of George's 360/12 in Beatles Gear and the center of it seems to have a sort of orange-yellow cast to it. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, it does look a little vintage, but it is pink, not orange. Do I wish it was more accurate? Yes. But it still plays like a dream.

Pink, orange or purple, it's gorgeous, Mark.
