I always liked how high Pete wore his bass. He just looks comfortable with it. Cool shots.

Randy,

I noticed all the bands from the 60's seemed to wear their guitars high.
then you flash foward to the 80's or 90's and they wear them down around their knee's

?????

no wonder the music now adays has so soul. the guitars are no where near their heart!

lol

the guys who wear their instruments down around their knees are more interested in jumping around than musicianship ...

Or maybe they just have longer arms?..

When you wear your axe low it causes you to bend your left wrist at about a 90 degree angle. That does wonders for circulation. But like Jeff said, it's all about acrobatics and appearence.

I couldn't and wouldn't play with my bass down that low.

J.Gary, I would think it is has got to be 59-63. given his age and time he was in the band

The story has it that in 1964 the first 4 RM1999s shipped to England went to Squire, Entwistle, Donovan, and Quaife.

I have even seen it claimed that Quaifes was the first one out there, he certainly played it out in the open before any one of the others did. Mac hid his and didn't really use it for a while, no one knew who Squire was until about 1970. Incidently who's Donovan? Donovan Leitch?
