I would like more progressive concentric pots . The CTS units only work at the end of travel . Anybody know of a better brand ?

Barry, I'm not an electronics expert, but it sounds like you are looking for a linear taper potentiometer as opposed to audio taper, which the CTS most likely is (audio taper is exponential/logarithmic, if I remember correcrtly).

Gary is right. It is the control taper and not the brand / quality of the potentiometer. I like the concentrics sold by Stewmac but they are audio taper as well.

They are very high quality. The sweep is smooth and quiet and they are quite small under the guard.

I want to add to Ted's post that first I got Stew-Mac's 500k pot/switch to do the new RIC tone cap mod, and that switch/pot would not fit under the pickguard - it would make it "hump" right at the control. I reordered from RIC Boutique.
