I should have known better but somehow I didn't see where the seller was from until it was too late:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=016&item=260041302411

And then I saw this ad:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&item=160037424054

I called Ebay to tell them this is a scam and they said "well, you entered into a contract with this seller and blah blah blah" They do not seem too concerned about people using their website to defraud their customers

Uh oh. Did you pay for it?

Nope.Ebay was very sceptical of my claim that this is a scam and they told me that I am obliged to pay or they would give me a strike for an unpayed for item.Isn't this an obvious scam? How can they expect me to pay for this?Look at this seller's feedbacks.Very suspicious.

Take a strike! You still have two more to work with! I would rather have a strike than a lighter wallet.

A friend and bandmate got scammed out of $1100 for a Ric 360/12 on ebay. It really irks me when I hear about this kind of thing. I have sold lots of stuff and even bought a few things on ebay so far, with no problems, (fingers crossed) but when I hear stuff like this it makes me want to get in the car and go track the ******* down. Stealing is bad enough as it is, but stealing music is pretty low.

The listing (first link) has been removed. Good luck, Mitch! Hope it won't cause any troubles for you.
EDIT: so, what does "Item has ended" mean?! I mean the 2nd auction.

Sheena, it means auction has run its course and finished, in this particular case the item wasn't sold.

Thanks, Peter. Earlier on, i've seen the line "Bidding has ended for this item" for ended auctions, so i was wondering if that "Item ended" line meant the same thing or something different.

"The following listing:

I got scammed for £1800 3 months ago, I have just posted about it in the "Rics for sale" - "International Paypal payments" thread. Buyers beware!

A typical Chinese "stolen auction" scam.
