I just started looking into this for the home. Anyone out there have any info??
Sirius, XM,,, is there a preferred service?
I'm just sick to death of turning on the radio and listening to the same 20 or so songs.
I've had it,,,and Im not gonna take it any more!!
Any info would be appreciated.

Hey Scott,
I have the XM. Not bad at all. I felt the same way with all the damn commercials, and for $10.00 a month, it's worth it!
I have the one that can go from the house to the car. My favorite part of their service is that you can listen ON LINE. You have to have an account, but once you punch it in, it's set!
So, while I'm surfing the net or on the forum, I have pumped into Satellite music in my computer room!

XM here! Love it! Gave the portable (car/house) unit to my daughter for her car, and use the account info like Tony says, to listen online. Worth it for the 60s channel and the BBC alone.

Have Sirius and love it., Bought it for Howard Stern, but the rock stations are cool, and Playboy radio is fun.

I'm a Sirius guy. Love "The Vault" (Deep classic rock). The played 2112 in it's entirety on my way to work the other day. Left Of Center & Disorder are great too. Theres a "All Stones" channel, plus beaucoup sports if that's your thing too.
No commercials, no lame "zany morning zoo crews", no moronic DJs. I'm a huge music snob & if I forget my iPod, or am tired of the CD selection in my car I never get bored with Sirius.
Do it. It's so worth the small monthly fee & initial equipment outlay.

I have Sirius and my wife has XM. They basically have the same formats. It's radio free of restrictions. Whatever one does with success the other will try to duplicate, I'm sure.

I bought XM a couple of years ago, thinking that Howard Stern was going there since he yapped about it so much...then he went to Sirius.
That's okay though, since I missed listening to Opie and Anthony also when I moved from NY and they are on XM.
I don't miss the lack of music on regular radio when I'm driving to and from work nor do I miss the DJs yapping over the beginnings of songs or the commercial marathons.
I do notice that lately on XM and even my friends Sirius radio, that the DJ's are beginning to talk alot in between songs. I wish they would shut up, that's not what I'm paying for.
...Mick since you work for XM, have them bring back the Music Lab Station!!

That's a Washington decision; I work at the Toronto studios. BUT...when I finally rule the XM universe, I shall grant your wish!!
All (bad) joking aside, you have added your voice to a growing chorus of people that have also expressed an interest to have that particular channel back.

And, BTW, I don't watch very much TV...but gotta agree with you, Lucky Louie is a fine show.

I'm using XM on a trial basis that came with my new car. I'm hooked on 150 the comedy channel. I only live three miles away from work so I'm wondering if it would be worth the subscription.
