Maybe they should have named it "Big Bottom"!

Talk about mudflaps!
I think I read that at least one of the basses taped over at a later date.

Two acoustics? Did George even have his Tele yet?!

JB, I was wondering the same thing... I highly doubt George had a Tele on this one. Lucy or Rocky are definitely possibilites, but not the Tele...
In fact, I just confirmed it. The Tele was hand delivered to Apple in December 1968, and I think the White Album came out 11-25-68. Definite mismatch.

Any record of George borrowing someone's Tele, or renting one or finding one lying around?

There is a pic out there of Paul with a Telecaster--not sure of the period though. Perhaps in Beatles Gear?

I don't know if it was Dec of '68, or according to Beatles Gear, the Tele was presented to George in '69. Either way, it wasn't around for the White Album.

Maybe Paul's Esquire?

Good point, Issac. The Esquire is mentioned as listed equipment used by them in '68. This is from the Recording the Beatles book.

I can't listen to the song right now, but are there acoustic guitars on here? I don't recall any.

Hmmm... hey wait! Just because someone pops up with a list does not mean the list is accurate!!
I have to question where this list came from, as there are VERY VERY few instrument lists from Beatles sessions. I have never seen this before, has anyone else?
I know several people who were in the room at the time, and they don't recall much at all of instrument detail. As things changed QUITE often during a single session, they never bothered to write such things down...
