Go to
www.classicrockrevisited.com to read their new interview with Lemmy Kilmister. About 3/4 of the way through the interview they ask him about his Rickenbacker basses. The entire interview makes for some good reading. Enjoy!

"Rock & roll is supposed to be fun - even in spite of Sting."

Ah yes, considering that Sting might be a better bassist.

That all depends on the always unquantifiable definition of what a "better" bassist is....

IMHO The Sting Man is mo funky. I also don't like a guy putting another guy down like that. I think the Beatles were the best, and they never went around criticizing other peoples material. Perhaps Lemmy is ****** because Sting and The Police are much more well known than Motorhead. (No disrespect to Lemmy or Motorhead)

I don't think Lemmy is "******" at all. I think you need to understand Lemmy and his rather black (and very English) sense of humour.
I've met him a couple of times and talked to him at some length and he's just like most from our neck of the woods. He said himself when he first went to the US his sense of humour got him in a lot of trouble. And to be honest I doubt Lem gives two hoots about who's more famous than Motorhead; I don't think that's something he loses sleep over.
BTW, The Beatles are one of Lemmy's favourite bands ever too...

Ya, except for that but about RIC pickups, I'd have to say I agree with just about everything he has to say. He reminded me of a couple things that I had forgotten...and I'm sure our administration would like us never to know.
