POPSICLEGLO 330

Here are some shots of an Orangeglo 330 that I just completed for Tim Rock in Guam. This was a FG guitar originally. This 330 had the toughest CV finish I've ever had to strip--it took nearly a gallon of heavy-duty aircraft stripper to get the old finish off...

Nice, very nice, but judging by the pics, if i hadn't known, i'd have said it's FG (or is it something wrong with my eyes?)... Would be interesting to see this one and a FG one side-by-side, so to speak - to feel the difference.

Darker middle - Somewhat like an AFG.

It's come up a treat, Paul. I really like it!

Lovely....dreamy!

It does have an AFG look to it. The figuring on the face of that guitar is really nice, too. Yum!

Paul, I really like this Orangeglo! Maybe I should have you finish the old 4001 in this color instead of Azureglo??? Let me know when the drop dead time for the color decision is (if it is not already too late). I'm waffling a little now after seeing this...

Not too late, Bob.

This presents the usual dilemma photographing a burst under fluorescent lights with a digital camera...

It is a good deal more orange than FG (take a look at the FG 730/12 in the thread on the Aquaglo 700C, for FG under the exact same conditions).

However, in photos it reminds me of an aged and faded mid '60s FG.

More great work, Paul!

I think the second shot, the side shot, shows the colour best (DSC00170)

A 4003 would you great with that “glo” Bob!

Mmm Orangeglo! What a treat, and just in time for All Hallows Eve. Stellar work as always, Paul W.

Yeah, what Andy said. It seems that the "orangeness" of it shows best in the second photo. Couldn't have picked a nicer 330 for this finish. I've been staring at that photo for literally minutes!

Paul,

I've decided to stick with the Azureglo for the 4001. When I decide to re-do my 430, I'll go with the Orangeglo.

WOW! Great job again, Paul.

And I agree, that one has some nice wood.
