Hofner Club Bass

Iim testing the waters so to speak on this as I havent quite talked myself into letting it go. I have a Hofner Club bass (#2 of 100 from 2002) that is in great shape with the bullet case. The only thing I have had done to it was have the bridge shaved (by a luthier) to lower the action. I've only found one small dimple in the finish and that was after really looking it over hard while thinking about taking photos of it and going the ebay route. I have been interested in getting a lefty Hofner V62 for a long time and was curious if there were any good trades out there. My interests are in the Hofner V62 lefty,Cavern lefty,Hofner V62 righty or RIC basses. I'm pretty particular about condition and this Club bass shows it. Anyone have a lefty HofnerV62 that they just never used? Like I said I'm on the fence on this but the right bass might push me off it. If you google Hofner Club bass you'll see pics of the Club bass at a site called guitarsandeffects.com It originally came from Northcoast then Guitarsandeffects then the person I bought it from. So as far as I know I'm the 4th owner but you wouldnt know it as it really is in great shape. Whats out there?

I've been looking for a used Hofner for a while. I always thought that I'd happen on a V62 but I've always liked the look of a Club. I don't have anything what you're looking for to trade, but if interested send me an email at my forum address.

The only thing I don't like about my Club Bass is the fact that you can't get the pickups low enough to not interfere with the strings when you're trying to obtain decent action.

I just bought a Club last May, a left-handed version (1 of 30). VERY pleased with it. Right out of the case it had perfect action, I don't plan on changing a thing on it....it may be the best playing/sounding Hofner I've ever had, and I've owned about 16 of them in the last 27 years.. No center block in the body, very resonant, just a super bass.

I have a Club, I like it very much. Like John, perfect out of the case (thanks to NCM, most likely).
I got it in black just to distance myself a little from the "Macca" look.

The Club is Tom Petty's current favorite bass. Tom says he recorded all the bass parts on his new solo album with his Club. I belive he is pictured with it inside the album.
GO FANG!

I don't know why Hofner doesn't change their neck to body geometry for that instrument. The bridge is generally all the way down to get a decent playing action. The adjustment "window" is too narrow.
