Pretty good shape for the year! No buckle rash to speak of.
Plus, it defies gravity!

The neck concerned me a bit on the description, however on these photos of it, it looks to be O.K.. It also proved to me that the seller has it in his possession.

Looks pretty nice to me too, no finger rest and a Dec.'72 sn#...sounds okay.

I think you should Grant.
I live close enough I could be there by 10pm.
I'll start packing the car with Fresca and M&M's.

Hey Grant. Where have you been? Somehow I knew you kept lurking. Selling your 21 fretter? Why ever? Seriously, I'm sure none of us would mind getting their hands on that beauty. To me it remains the ultimate 4001 bass.

My Dec 72 is LL 1586, very close to this bass. Same guard, with no rest.
Grant's BG 4001 is a great looking bass. I can remember when he won it on an eBay BIN..
No shortage of takers for that baby if you ever want to put her up for sale Grant....

Grant's is the nicest bass I've ever seen!
I would certainly be in line for that one!

Sergio..wassamattayou?
That bass is no good. My offer to buy it was only out of need for firewood for my fireplace, and the fact that it would be doing Grant a favor, giving him more closet space.
Forumites do that for each other.
Ultimate 4001? <vbg>
