My hubby called me up to his office this afternoon as I was playing my guitar in front of the fireplace, and showed me this eBay auction, which he was the high bidder on.... He knew I'd been wanting a 600-series Ric for a while, but I was sooooo surprised by this--I was expecting my Anniversary 660 to fit that bill....

Still, what a cool-looking guitar! Once again my husband has surprised me, and I didn't think I was in the market for another Ric at this point! He thought the white-with-black trim combination was pretty cool, so he kind of bought it on a whim.... Wonder if it still has the Ric-o-smell? It sure looks minty!
What a guy!

Awesome, Melibee! I also like the white with black trim - even if the white has yellowed a bit. Looks like that one hasn't at all!
Well done, Marc..... open the humidor and fridge and have a cee-gar and beer to celebrate. I'll be with you in spirit!

Ummmmm.... it's about 30 degrees and the wind is howling and driving occasional flurries out on the balcony--and I won't let him smoke those things in the house, LOL!
But he can have a beer....
I'll make sure he knows I appreciate him!

Nice snag Melissa!
So I guess you won't be needing that 75th AV 660 after all, huh?

Need? I already have more than I
need! But any Rics that come in my door are certainly welcome to stay!
They all get played, but some more than others, LOL!
My anniversary 660 will probably stay with me for a long, long time, because it will be a very special guitar, and will always remind me of a very, very special vacation!

Melissa, if your husband ever wants to make a change, I'd be glad to marry him. We could do our own version of "BrokeRickenback Mountain." I mean, I'm really not inclined in that direction, but if you ply me with enough "surprise" Rickenbackers, I can be surprisingly open-minded.
Sheesh -- how many have you got now? He sounds like quite a guy.

Gorgeous guitar! Jack Frost's Ric. Wonderful that it has the Accent too.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Jerry, you don't see him when he's standing over me with the whip while I'm shackled to the desk tediously cataloging coins for hours with no Forum breaks and no time to play my Rics! He's a slave driver....
(Did I just say that????)
....But every once in a while he makes it all worthwhile!
So turns the strange world of the hopelessly Ric-addicted!

Cool, you can always use another Rickenbacker - one for each day of the month.

The package arrived today, and I am in a state of anticipation! It's a bit damp and chilly today, about 40 degrees, so I want to let it sit for a few hours at least before opening the case--I don't want to take any chances on damaging the minty-white finish on this one.... The case looks absolutely brand-new, and has the SMELL, too!
More later!
