The Model 325C58

This guitar has not yet been unveiled to the public and the exicitement is mounting as of today's word that RIC will introduce this instrument, which has been in progress for about a year, at NAMM.
Questions abound as we all try to second guess the rationale for introducing another model that is fashioned as the first Rickenbacker purchased by John Lennon. So what does the "C" stand for anyway? In predicting what instrument would replace the reissue series certainly guitars of the Beatles had to be high on the list. Few might have predicted that the instrument resembling Lennon's would not include the Bigsby but I think that RIC is right on this one. Lennon made so many changes to his instrument, the RIC case would have to be filled with a wide assortment of knobs and vibratos to cover all the bases. To introduce all of the options would be a formidable task to be sure.
I especially like the preCision (maybe that's where the C came from) that RIC is commenting on in their release of the 325C58. So this one will be just like the one that left the factory that Lennon purchased in Germany? I can hardly wait to see the photos. I am wondering if customers will have the Bigsby at the ready? Good move Mr. Hall. I will be interested in hearing your comments regarding the development of this model once the NAMM dust settles.
