That's some dense prose there, I agree, John.
SOLD for $10K with a BIN. The last one on Ebay went for less than $2K and it wasn't in too bad a shape, either.
What's happening to vintage prices lately? Are speculators getting involved?

Graham - thanks for the offer mate, but I'll pass this time. I can probably achieve the same thing by whacking a horseshoe pickup into a crusty ol' acoustic I have lying around here and still be $9500 better off!

I just can't believe it really sold for $10,000? Is this a kind of scam I haven't come across before?
And if it really did sell, does that now mean I've got to increase the insurance value on mine? I'll have to start selling stuff, otherwise I won't be able to afford the insurance!

I'm scratching my head over this one too...way beyond what they are going for. I won't deny that it looks nice, though. A decent example.

I have never seen one of these in person, let alone heard its tone. I suspect, however, it was not purchased at that price to be a player.
