I couldn't get opinions on a previous thread, but check out what is right behind Paul.

Hi Brian,

I clicked the link, thinking I was going to see a 4001 and was surprised to see a 6-string. I didn't know Paul had one of those jewels.

I don't remember seeing any pictures of him with a Rickenbacker 6-string, nor reading any archive story of him playing one.

Isn't that a 12 string?

It's a 12. Look at the headstock.

From what I understand it is a 360V64/12. I was trying to find the television commercial for "All the Best". In the opening of that commercial he is holding the 360V64/12 and then it turns into a cartoon guitar and flies out of his hands when the preview for "Jet" comes on. These are the only times I have seen the guitar.

Here is the 4001 from around the same time. 1987.

I second what Brian says; it's a 360/12V64 circa 1985-86.....

John, I'll have to go find that commercial. At the end of it his 4001 comes bouncing in and jumps in his arms.

Here is a video for Simer. It covers the "denial" of the end of Wings. The "Beatle Reunion" question. And it also covers Simer's favorite Macca solo album.

Nice interview. I found it a bit ironic that he said all the Beatles were alive and well, because it wasn't too long after this that John was killed.

He was truthful about Wings. Tug of War started off as a Wings album. In fact Denny is credited on the album. George Martin decided it should be a solo album and that he should play more instruments and the instruments he didn't play should be people other than Wings.

McCartney II. Who the hell told him it should be his next album? Richard?

If it makes you feel better Brian, my girlfriend says I should've been born 25-30 earlier.

No...not really! Someone's sleeping through a bad dream! (A little McCartney II humor).
