I saw this cool video on The Tube(the only music television network that plays music) a few minutes ago:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZnrXnujQyU
Its got walnut wings, full-width sparkly inlays, and the smaller rectangular bridge pickup surround but I can't make out much else.

If my memory and chronology serve me correctly, the song and band all exploded onto the scene in early-mid '68, so, they probably all got newer gear getting ready for the bigtime, so I say it's an early '68.

Is it one of the Banana Splits singing? Or do I need glasses?

When I was young I thought The Beatles sang the theme to this show. Maybe I thought it sounded like Ob La Di, Ob La Da?

Robin, that's a "Combo 600" from the late 1950s, as John Biscuti mentions at the beginning of the thread. See page 11 of the Tony Bacon/Paul Day "The Rickenbacker Book, A Complete History of Rickenbacker Electric Guitars" (GPI Books/Miller Freeman Inc.).
