Im trying to decide wich is the better call . Im looking at a 74 jetglo 4001 and a V 63 reissue . I havent seen many 74 jetglo's . everything is all original with it . Has some paint scratches but no major issues 1,400.00 is the price . I also am looking at a V63 reissue around 2K .I need all my rickenbrothers opinions on wich one you all would choose .

I'd go for the V63. New truss rods, huge output and unbound comfortable body.

Better looking than a 74 too...Unless, of course, it's JG too...

There are a lot of 74's out there. The V63, on the other hand is relatively scarce and the prices have been climbing sharply for the last 2 years. My guess is that the prices for the 4001CS have forced a lot of people to look at the V63 and C64. Apparently, some people don't like the upside-down headstock so the V63 is in demand. I'd go for the V63.

I'd also vote v63, huge sound, superb construction, stands up very well to stage use, oh and Fireglo !

Go with the V63 and don't look back.

If you want to polish it get the 4001, but if you want to play it go for the v63!

But since your username is Thinneckrick, I have to warn you that my V63's neck is larger across the fretboard and in girth than my 70's Ricks.
