Wich neck has a thinner profile? V63 or C64

I was just talking with a rick dealer and he told me the C64 has a thinner neck than the V63 does . I do not like the c64s as the horns dont look right .Does anyone out there know if there is a neck thickness difference between the V63 and C64?

IMHO-the C64's (3) that I've "played" seemed to have a thinner neck.

My c64 had a wonderful thin neck. Never played a v63 but played a CS that had a fairly chunky neck, but comfy.

I have played a few in music stores ... I would say the C series has slimmer necks than the V series ...

The V63 spans about 15 years of production from pre-CNC to post-CNC. There could be some variation over that time.

MY V63 (ex Pappas) has a neck very much like the one on my '73 4001, nice and thin, just not a thin as the neck on my '67 4005WB.

My '88 v63 has a "thin" neck, but the c64 I sold to Brian a while back has a "flat-thin" neck...
My new 4003 Midnight Blue has the newer thin neck ... so Chris Clayton tells me.... :^)

Chris, I think that is an excellent way to describe it. I think the C64's have flater necks.

My 85 V has the thinnest flat neck I've ever played. Very much like a Shadow!

My 89 V63 has a nice thin neck too. My C64 is not hardly as thin, and a little wider and flatter than my V.

The C64's neck is thinner (or flatter) than both my 99' and 00' V63's. After playing a long gig with my 79' 4001 I picked up my V63 and it felt like a baseball bat...

Jeff Thomas commented the neck of my 64 Deluxe was very like his C64. He said it was flatter, more like a [ shape, and not like the 64 RM1999 or 67 4001S he tried that have very thin necks, but are much more C shaped.
