Cheap trick fans, go to Ebay right now.
Because they have a Cheap trick's fan wet dream guitar on there.

So here's your chance to live out your fantasy of being Rick Nielssen.

As for me, no thank you, I like my back aches to be non-existent.

Can you imagine the WEIGHT of that thing!? I've love to see someone play it too.

And does the case come with wheels on the bottom? You'd be constantly dragging it around instead of carrying it. Then when it comes to showing it off.... 'have a look at my ickle baby'......

May be a consideration if you were in a Cheap Trick tribute band.

You could serve dinner on the case! Maybe would make a nice card table...

I noticed no mention of weight - who'd have arms long enough to reach all the necks?!

I've seen Mr. Neilsen play his Hamer 5-necker. I think he got to at least 4. It's featured prominently in the "She's Tight" video.

One of my favorite CT songs and videos, even without Tom Petersson. Love the "Had a smoke and went upstairs" line.

Normally, in concert, it comes out during Surrender most every night..

You'd need arms like a gorilla to play the bottom neck.

You'd only need one guitar at a gig though.

It would take you a week to do a full restring! And in my case, many, many beers!!

Hmmmmm...... maybe I should get one just for that side benefit alone..... Image

Not more then two weeks ago, I was walking home and past the Beacon theater here in NYC.

The stage door was open and as I knew CT was in town that day I popped my head in for a look.

Rick's guitar tech was, at that moment, walking around the stage with the five neck checkerboard guitar, playing the verse chords to Dream Police (which, by the way, I knew Rick copped from the bridge of Behind Blue Eyes the second I first heard the song in 1979. But I digress.)

On a related note, I used to play bars with some friends bands in Chgo about ten years ago and one of them worked for Hamer, which was still in NW suburban Chgo then. This guy, a drummer, had a picture of him holding that same guitar before they delivered it to CT. And I saw in shortly thereafter on MTV in a clip from a festival in Rockford where CT was doing Surrender on stage with Joey Ramone.
