Just caught Oasis Live on Hi-Def. The lead guitarist played a '59-60 370F FG for at least one song. Cool.

I love Oasis. Their first two LPs anyways. The third is majestically awful. But in a rock and roll way. Haven't much cared since then but the new(er) single "Lyla" was pretty good.

The lead guitarist is Noel. HE plays a white 330 ( I think, can't totally remember) (with a Portishead sticker under the strings) in a video or two.

Noel actually plays a Fireglo 4005 in one of their videos too - "Go Let it Out" maybe?

He's got one of Paul Weller's old 330's, that's probably what the white one is.

Weller played the solo on Champagne Supernova, I think.

In the concert on TV, that I saw, Noel mainly played a Gibson Trini Lopez model.

The white 330 was a gift from Paul Weller - the one he played on Town Called Malice/Precious on Top of the Pops. The "P" is for Paul rather than Portishead.

Hi everyone ... long time reader, first time poster. I was glad to see some interest in Oasis on this page and figured I'd post some videos of the Rickenbackers they use.

Gem playing the 370F:

And as for Noel's 330, he actually plays 2 of them, a MG, and the White Paul Weller one:

Also, on the cover of the supersonic single there's a JG 330 on the floor:

I apologize if you have seen these before and I'm just boring you now, but I'm a HUGE fan of oasis and figured I'd pass along some nice videos.

Welcome James, great first post.

I hear a lot of good things about Oasis but your post was my first chance to see them in action.

Thank you sir!
