In most of the movies I have seen Arch Hall Jr plays a white Jazzmaster,but on the cover of the new CD of Arch Hall Jr and the Archers music he is playing a white Telecaster.Does anyone know or can you tell from the sound clips(below)if he is paying a JM or Tele on the records?

Neither of the guitars in the pick are Telecasters.

I don't think I answered your question. I could not here the music. I don't have napster. I do have a real '62 jazzmaster and have owner tele's and I think you can get a jazzmaster to sound like a tele but a tele wouldn't do neck pickup jazzmaster sounds. Although imo they are very close and teles weight about 2/3 of the jazzmaster the heavyest Fender made.

I'v got both a '62 A/VRI JM, and a '57RI Tele. I listened to a couple of the tracks on your link the other night...I could only hear one or two where I could say with some certainty, "Yep, Tele". The rest sounded like various iterations of JM sound to me. Of course, these ears of mine aren't going into the music hall of fame any time soon...
