That's sad...
Still, a potential project for someone here hopefully. This could be one of the few remaining cheap FWMOP/CB basses out there. Looks to have the early Grovers too. An early 72 possibly?

Yes, definitely an early, maybe mid 1972 4001.

He does a great job of describing it. After all he used the word rare twice in two sentences. By the way if something is already rare I don't think it can be very rare.

ya the maple-jet-red-glo 4001 basses are very rare ...
When you remove the **** there is a nice bass in there somewhere ...

It looks like a Fender had it's way with a Ric inside a Gibson case.
