Adjustment of Onboard E1 Circuit on 370RM

Here is a question from the RickResource Forum Mailbox from Spain.
Hello Peter.
My name is Juan. I am a big fan of the rickies.
I have 4 of them. The last one is a Roger Mcguinn signature model.

I would like to know how can I modify the level of compression on board. I can not find the trimmer to adjust the amount of compression.
Thank you very much. Happy New Year, from Spain

Juan

If you look closely, you'll see three tiny holes in the circuit board. Two are empty but behind one of them is the pot; the screwdriver goes through the hole in the board to adjust it. There's also a pin sticking out in the same area to clip a voltmeter, as these were adjusted to spec- as I recall 1.5v DC from the pin to ground. But of course you can do it to your taste.

Those other two holes are interesting. Each of those is for a pot and you'll see the mounting pads in the circuit board around them. But stock units use two resistors instead of the pot, a fixed voltage divider arrangement. They would be adjustable gain controls if they had a pot in them and we installed the pots in a few guitars for use by pros.
