Dream Analysis

I need some Rickenbacker dream analysis. This was my dream last night:
I was in a Salvation Army or Goodwill store and saw up on the rack a Monty Brown 4003 in perfect condition for $600 (left handed, I'm a righty). I was so excited with that price that I decided to buy it. It was such a good deal and as I was leaving I saw a couple Rickenbacker acoustics in the window. I immediately ran back into the store and they were like $700ish and one had black guards and one had gold (a la Paul W's awesome works). I chose the gold one and was just super grinning because I finally owned a Rickenbacker acoustic.
I was so excited and I bought the acoustic and was just absolutely beside myself and started walking around to see what else I could find and came across the ultimate vault of Rickenbacker amps. There were amps from every decade and style all just in perfect condition.
I didn't have enough left over to get one but came back the next day and searched around the store and couldn't find any. Then in the middle of looking around in the store I woke up.
I was absolutely crushed when I woke up and realized that it was just a dream. What do you guys think?

Alisha, that dream is a possibility. All you gotta be is nuts. This is a common "wish-fulfillment" type dream. Don't be crushed--be dedicated. You're young, with a lot of earning, playing, and wheeling/dealing years ahead of you.
My own wish-fulfillment dream--and one I've been having ever since I lost all my hair in '83--is that I have hair.
I started to disbelieve this one after the fifth or sixth time, so my brain invented a new twist. In the 2nd version, I wake up in the morning and I've grown hair overnight.
Then there's the third version, where I have hair like Biscuti, but blond, and I'm sitting in the barber's chair saying, "shave it!"
Someday you will own all the Ricks you desire. It doesn't take a psychic to predict that!

I could think of far worse dreams, Alisha! Much better than falling endlessly or running from something and not moving (both childhood dreams of mine). I'd see it as a vision of things to come.
Better see a palm/Tarot reader or soothsayer real quick, my dear!!
In the meantime, don't stop dreaming..... it's good for the soul!

I once dreamt that I had been asleep, and when I woke up I had been!!! How weird is that?

I think this is turning into a very interesting thread

I gotta say, when I dream, it sure isn't about guitars.

Yeah, but you work with them day in and day out. I sure don't dream about neutrons...
Maybe I should check out some Salvation Army and Goodwill stores.

Cool dream, Alisha! It must have been really disappointing to wake up!
I know I've dreamt about Rics before, but I can't remember any details--my dreams are pretty hazy by the time I wake up, LOL!

I normally dream about everyday things in life...sometimes about family, work, etc...but this one was just so real.

I once had a very in-depth and realistic dream I had met and fallen in love with one of those hot young TV news reporter chicks and then her thug ex-boyfriend showed up with his buddies and beat me unmerciful then the cops showed up and busted them but the chick ran off with one of the cops. Not sure what to make of it.

Whenever my GF asks me to interpret one of her dreams I always tell her it means she must have sex with me immediately.
Usually works, too.

"Maybe I should check out some Salvation Army and Goodwill stores."
Actually that is not a bad idea. Last year a coworker's son purchased a Gibson Les Paul Custom at a local Salvation Army store for $50!

I believe that some dreams do come true!
So Alisha, when you do find that left-handed Monty Brown 4003 for $600, give me a call. I'll take it off your hands for $700 plus shipping.

I visited your dream yesterday morning, Darren! Dave graciously gave me the 4005/8. What a guy that Dave is!
Now I am dreaming.
Well, at least I did get to visit Dave and his lovely wife Lisa at The Rick Vault. And play most of his wonderful collection.
