'06 4003 strap pegs ? - Schaller compatible?

I've owned my '06 4003 since May, and just now am getting 'round to gigging. I had a show last month, but will have more in the near future, and want to get straplocks installed. I was curious if the Ric 4003 stock strap heads or pegs (whatever they're called) are directly compatible with a particular brand/make/model of straplocks? I'm only familiar with Dunlops, which I've used in the past, and I know these aren't compatible with those.

I wondered if the stock ones might be compatible with Schallers? If so, I'll buy a set of theirs. But if not, no worries - I can install some older Dunlops I've got sitting around.

Yup Schaller. And if you want to use the Dunlop Strap-Loks, get a pan head screw of the same threading as the RIC one you remove (10-32 IIRC) in an appropriate length to go through the Dunlop headpiece and be as long as the threads on the RIC one you remove. Drill out the Dunlop "button" to pass the new screw, then on a grinder grind the pan head smaller until it will fit into the Dunlop head and viola it will then thread into the existing threaded holes and you can continue to use your Strap-Lok system. A flattened style pan head works better - allows the Strap-Lok mating part to fully enter the headpiece. The screw that comes with the Dunlop kit is a wood screw and much smaller than the RIC hole.

John, it's 10-24 thread.

Not to put too fine a point on it but it's actually an M5 metric thread. We intentionally tap with a 10-24 so it cross threads to lock it tighter but then will also easily accept the vintage button which really is 10-24.
