Fretboard Binding Adhesive

I have about two inches of loose binding near the lower side (finger side) of the third fret on my 4001. The binding fits together at that spot, so it has a loose end that lifts there. What would I use to re-adhere it?

And while we're at it, what can I do about all these voices in my head?

The first question is the more important one...

Professionals use a type of schmutz which consists of acetone with some binding scraps dissolved in it.

You might want to ask those voices if they've got any of this stashed anywhere...

Alternatively, DuPont Duco cement is a good substitute.

DO NOT use superglue. It generally grabs too good and the potential for making a mess when those voices shout at the wrong time, is too great...

And here I thought the voices only talked to ME...

Eric - you're spending too much time in the spray booth! ;)

Okay, Dupont Duco it is, along with the usual solution of a headphone full of Beatles.

John, that is a most accurate assessment!! I have been doing a good bit of painting lately.

This morning the voices were telling me to stay home and clean my guns..I didn't listen :-)

Dang! I could have avoided a whole mess of trouble had I known they were talking to Eric all these years! Well, Eric, in case you haven't heard, the message they seem to keep repeating is as follows: Buy another one. Buy another one. Buy another one.

(I think they're talking about Rickenbackers...)

Eric, are you a narrow burst sprayer or a wider, blended type? Inquiring minds want to know....

I go for the smooth blend/fade without the splattery look that can sometimes happen in the transition from color to wood.

Ahhh, a man of my own tastes! I've really liked the two very recently bought (by forumites) 4003 AFGs that have the wider casual burst blend.

Eric, are you a narrow burst sprayer or a wider, blended type?

That's a pretty personal question, isn't it?
