Curious to see how many different shades we can get here, now that some more are shipping.

You won't get a whole lot of varuiation, except with lighting, etc., in the pictures.
Actual instruemnts I've seen are quite consistent.
That sucker above has tons of yellow in the color balance. Late afternoon sunlight?

Paul makes a good point. It's the photos that are different, not the instruments.
Only one photo posted (I think it was John's, on the sofa) was close to the real color.

I think Jason was talking about the complexity in the paint itself. It's a colour that seems to change hue dramatically depending on how the light hits it. It's almost chameleon-like. Black one moment, red the next.

"photos that are different, not the instruments"
That was my original intent. I just didn't phrase it clearly. After all, technically nothing is the "real" color, we're just seeing how it reflects light with the given conditions.

If the paint could talk,I imagine it would be saying "Hmmm, what color shall I be today?"

Some of us are still waiting to receive our DCMs (I'm hoping my 660 will be coming in within the next few weeks).

I have to admit when I first saw the abbreviation it took me a few seconds to realize that "DCM" was not Roman numerals for "75."
