John, That's the first thing I thought of when I looked at it as well.

it is a fake part ... the real ones don't bend that much with only 4 strings! also notice the square holes ... faker!

it's also missing 2 screws near the back of the tailpeice. If I'm not mistaken Ric must have had a 5 screw tailpeice by '74 right?

That is clearly not a RIC part but it is accurate to a fault! Sorry!

The lack of the screws that are visible when the bridge is in place is a pretty good reason for that kind of lift, not to mention possible use of sub-standard material.
I've also noticed that
some copy tailpieces have the round casting marks on the underside in a more centered location than the RIC piece, shown here.

The fact that someone is selling such a pitiful excuse for a bridge/tailpiece assembly in such a sorry state, trying to pass it off as a legit Rick part in the process, is even more grotesque and pathetic if you ask me.

Missed it. Should've left it to show what you get when you get a faker.

Nothing but trash!
It was bent at almost 90 degrees.

Owen from England had one that was so bent the strings vibrated in the bridge and wouldn't seat properly, but that was a rare exception, I've had over 20 Rics and have never had one bend so bad it caused me any trouble, most of mine have either not bent at all or were bent less than a 1/16th of an inch which does nothing that I can see or hear.
