Just wondering if anyone here had ever tried one out. They look really nice, and priced right.

Wow, just last week I was wanting a Hofner Club, but bemoaning the price...

Too bad about the tailpiece, knobs and especially the tuners, BUT maybe the sound and playability are still good...

I have an Eastwood Guyatone surf monster, and it's quite well-made.

Lawsuit bass for sure.

Is it available in a sunburst?

Lawsuit depends upon whether Hofner ever sought IP protection, and in which countries and jurisdictions.

Violin basses are everywhere, aren't they?

The recent Eastwood "reissues" offer a lot for the money. I've played Mike's (the owner) Airline (JB Hutto/White Stripes) models and they are quite nice..comfy and a nice neck ..just how I like my W...opps! Some folks upgrade the pups and electronics but looks like you can't go too far wrong with that one.
