After years of thinking I would never own one I finally have it, a new 360/12FG.

Here's a couple of high res pics :

Nice one hey !!!!!

I purchased it in September and had it delivered to our daughter who has been working in New Hampshire all year. Of course this gave us the excuse to take a holiday and go over and collect it. We visited NYC, New Hampshire and Boston and had an extremely enjoyable time. Returned home a couple of weeks ago and have been playing it madly ever since. Its so good I just might have to get a few more!!!!

Congratulations Shane on your first Rickenbacker and a warm welcome to the forum Image

What a great first post....showing off a new Rickenbacker acquisition complete with photos; a nice accompanying story and clear symptoms of RAS (Rickenbacker Acquring Syndrome...a specialised variant of GAS).

To all the lurkers and potential new forum members.....Shane sets a tremendous example of how make a grand entrance to Forum membership! Image

Nice one, Shane! Or as we might say over here, "Bowled, Shane!!". You need to know a bit about cricket to come to terms with that. Image

Congrats on your first Rick.... and a 12 string to boot! So is a 6 string on the horizon? Image

Darren, Howard and Gary, thanks for your warm welcome. I had never played a Ric or a 12 string before this and it does take a bit of getting used to. I'll just keep practising. The build quality and finish of the guitar is flawless, very impressive.

As for RAS, I wouldn't mind a 330/6, 325 and maybe a bass; then there's the 600 series. Shortage of funds is the problem but we will work on that !!!

I went further into debt to fund my second Rick, Shane, so don't let that put you off! Image

I don't think anyone would lend me money at the moment Howard. I'll have to earn it or maybe win Powerball tomorrow!!!

Crikey, Shane! Didn't realize you were an Oz member, mate! And Melbourne too!! Send me an email...... we have a nice little group here and we get together every now and then to talk Ricks, play Ricks and enjoy a convivial ale or two. It would be great if you could join us some time.

We're almost triplets here, Shane. Greg Rahilly and I both have a recent 360/6FG and you a 12. I can't recall whether Darren has one. That'd make a nice pic if we could all get together. Image

Howard and Darren, we will try and arrange something once the seasons festivities are over. This is a hectic time of year!!!
