Peter, I seem to recall that when Rickenbacker went to the 'mirror-image' lefty necks in the late 80's, you could still get one made the 'old way', but it was an upcharge(!).......I dunno if this is true or not, maybe John Hall could confirm this. Are those your basses Peter??
John Lessick, the PMC model V63 is a real bass, I have one. Most if not all were made in 1999.

It is a 4001V63PMC. I owned one in Mapleglo.

I finally got to mix a v63pmc last sat nite with the Fab Four, Mark brought it out for the Sgt. Pepper, Magical Mystery, and Abbey Rd. stuff..sounded great, but I can't believe how tubby those Hofners sound....R
