Can you please tell me how you have your control knobs set for the best sound and which input you use and why? Thanks.

I keep my knobs full-on all the time, and do whatever tweaking I have to on-the-fly, when necessary. I never use the bridge pickup tone knob.

I always plug in to the "Standard", aren't you supposed to unless you're actually using the Ric-o-Sound feature?

I leave both pickups on. I have the neck volume all the way up, with the tone rolled back half way to three-quarters or so. The bridge volume is rolled off maybe a quarter of the way (if that) and tone full up. Also, I have a new 4003, and I use the vintage tone circuit. Stock roundwounds (for now) and the EQ set flat on my Nemesis 210.

Sounded INCREDIBLE last Saturday, if I may say so.

Turn all knobs to 10 then roll off the neck volume to about 7 to get a nice snarly growl ...

I have both pups on, neck vol up, tone about 2/3 up, bridge pup vol and tone up. Amp has mids rolled off, bass boosted, treble boosted. Huge sound.

Both pups on - neck pup volume about 9 and tone about 1. The bridge pup volume to about 7 and tone about 9. Like John, I have the amp settings are mid off and bass and treble pegged. These are good starting points for my 4003s5 as well as my 4001. Once set, I usually don't mess with the amp controls too much. I do blending at the bass.
