Yes...Javier has a very nice all original 68 4001 that needed some fret board repair and a new pickguard made. I will post some pictures soon.

Hey Javi...

...any word on the '68? I'd like the privilege to see it in person once it gets back into town! I mean... since it was me who "hooked you up" with the brothers & sisters here on the forum (*pats self on back*), it's the only fair thing to do, don'cha think? Image

Happy Holidays!

Yes, 'tis true...I only found you guys here because Big Al here pointed me in the right direction. I will forever be in his debt. So far as I know, the neck work and electronics are done. Dale's just waiting on the bridge to get back from the shop where it is being re-chromed. I'll look you up as soon as I get it back. My wife wants to kill me, though. I am now lusting after a BlueBurst 4003. I think that's one of the most incredible finishes I have seen yet. I really like the Fireglo and Mapleglo finishes. I am not so keen on Jetglo because it hides the character of the wood. I love translucent finishes or natural finishes. After all, if you are using such high quality wood, why hide it?

Alright Jarad, you've shown this picture so many time. Do you actually own it, or is it just your desire to do so?

Wes, he doesn't own it. He's been after a 4004MG with heavily quilted wood for a long time. That bass is one-of-a-kind, I believe, and it resides in the RIC museum.
