Just wondering if I'm alone....

I guess I am alone - I feel like that Maytag repair guy....

I've been waiting a while for a 4004cii BBR if that's any consolation Tony!

I've got a 330/12 BBR, and a 350V63 BBR. I've got a 360/6 VP BBR on the way. A 360/12 BBR isn't that far off from the ones I have.

So close, yet so far, Greg....

Hey - Any pictures of that 350v63 BBR???

I really lucked out. I WANTED a BBR last year, but waited too long to order one. Just figured that's the breaks.

Then I noticed NCM had gotten a couple. I decided to go for it, but by then they were gone. But Gary responded that he expected a couple more within the next 6 months. So, I ordered one and thought I'd have ANOTHER wait (I'm also going on a 2-yr wait for a 360/12C63).

Then all of a sudden, about 10 days later, I got an e-mail that said it was in and on the way.

It's a **** shoot. But as everyone's said, it's worth it the wait.

And I'd also love to see pics of a 350v63 BBR. I'm having a hard time picturing what that would look like.

Jerry - That story reminds me how I stumbled across my 4004LK Lemmy - Was walking past Sam Ash in NYC, and there it was - in the window. $2K later, and I was taking it home. Others who had ordered one from a dealer waited something like 3 years. I always felt a bit lucky, a bit guilty.

Pictures of the 350v63 BBR for those who asked. Everyone always seems to want a Jetglo one, but I always liked BBR better.

Greg, you're right. Most people do go for JG when they go for a 325 or 350. It's still refreshing to see the 350 in BBR again after you showed it off not long ago. Very nice guitar

John - if you're interested in a 4004cii BBR, check with Mike Parks. His on-order list shows one available.

Thanks for the nice comments Will. It plays really nice, and sounds pretty good. I think I may put hi-gains in a toaster cover, or scrounge up some hot toasters though....at least for the bridge position. I plan on playing it often at the jams to get Rickenbacker a local presence! Everyone down there uses the standard Strat/Tele/Les Paul/ etc. that makes stuff so generic sometimes. That other stuff sounds good, but there are different things out there!
