So when are we going to start seeing Chinese made Ampegs?

I noticed that all advertisements from Ampeg are now devoid of the "Made in the USA" label.

Were all Ampeg amps previously made in the USA?

weren't there a run of svt's made in Japan in the 80's when Ampeg was owned by MTI?

My Chinese girlfriend was Made In The USA! And she's just great.

I haven't checked the warranty, yet.

My was made in China (near Shanghai). Best thing that ever happened to me.

We'll have to wait and see what the quality control is for their Chinese products. Offhand, I don't think it's as much where an item is produced as it is what lengths the company goes to to ensure the final product is a quality one. One day I may need a bigger amp and I hope Ampeg will still be worth buying.
