Acoustic strings
Anyone have an idea what strings are factory fitted on the Ric acoustics?

I've been needing a string change on my Comstock, so I searched the Internet looking for the string set that John Hall recommended for the 700 series in the above link. I was unable to find anyone who sold Elixir Nanoweb sets in the right configuration. However, while searching I found a great site, www.stringsandbeyond.com, and talked with Mike Griggs who was happy to put together a custom set for me. I mentioned that other 700 players would also be looking for this set so he has made them available on his webiste at this link:

At $12.95 a set they are a good deal! Mike is a great guy to do business with, and will put together any custom set you might be looking for.

Just got my Nanowebs today (unfortunately the "B" strings in 14-gauge were on back order, LOL!).... Upon returning from the post office, I immediately restrung my Commie, and WOW!! It sounded great before, and sounds even better now; I think it finally sounds the way it was meant to all along! Super strings, and the custom set is great. My thanks to John Hall for supplying the info in the above thread!
