Repost from the Dudepit: (sad news)
My brother, Gregg, passed away last week after a long battle with cancer. I know this was his favorite board and had a lot of friends here.
Gregg was a fine bass player, a great dad and a very patient and helpful brother. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

I know Gregg had a lot of friends here...I consider myself one of them. He will be missed...

Very sad news indeed. I believe he was about my age (50). On and off Forum, Gregg and I exchanged many messages on Rickenbacker stuff. Some three years back I rewound a couple pickups for him. In late 2003 he sold me an "all black" April '74 4001, which I still have and never will part with. Rest in peace, my friend.

About a year and a half ago he just disappeared from Ebay where his bidding prowess was the stuff of legend. He nailed down pretty much every set of wavy Grovers for the better part of two years. Someone said that he was sick and would be away for a while. I did not know Gregg but I certainly knew of him. I am saddened by the news.

At times like this I like to play "Counting Blue Cars" by Dishwalla.
It helps, and I know death all too well.
Much kindred love going out to the family from Nevada........

...he was a friend of mine...
Very sad. I made a lot of deals with Gregg and he never dissapointed me. Standup fellow. Always went out of his way for a friend. Lover of all things Steinberger(not too many of us.) Ebay Legend. RIP brother.
