Why do that to a 4005....I'm not even kidding now - I got so excited when I read the title...then when I saw the pic I felt so sad...I'm still sad now....as sad as when my football team got relegated
BTW - where has the wanted and for sale sections gone to?

Given the current prices for 4005's this is still a potentially good core that could be restored, pictures don't show the fretboard at all well.

This 4005 has been relisted 3 times in the past month, if I recall correctly. It is restorable. I find the price to be right on the edge of palatability. But it WILL sell within 6 months at that price.
If it was a double-bound 4005, I woulda been on it like a hobo on a ham sandwich...

What did people do to those basses? Buy one and go, "Hmm, you know what, I don't want these two pickups . . . I think I'll stick a P-bass pickup right in the middle here . . . where's my dremel?"
