I remember seeing a modified guitar(s) with gold toasters and other gold parts, I think it was a 370? Anyhow, I can't find the photos anymore... Does anyone remember where they are? Thanks!

The 381 was the one I was thinking of... Thanks.
I read that Russ plated his himself. Do you all know if the 381 gold parts are a do-it-yourself, or from the factory?

Yeah, Mark Thacker's 381 with all the electronics....my recollection too.
There are/were pics of a 70's 4001 with gold hardware circulating, and one of the Banjolines in the 1968 looks like it has gold parts on it too..

Do you have a link to a photo of the Banjoline?

John, try this:

The one I'm referring to is on the right, has to be a custom-order 6006 with a dot neck..(!)

John,
One of my 4001V63's has gold hardware. I will post a picture of it if you would like. It is on my home computer.

John, is that the one-off 350 with the ebony fretboard?

"John, is that the one-off 350 with the ebony fretboard?"
I like to think of it more as the one-off 350SH, without the binding, without the inlays, without the black paint, without the certificate...
One can dream, right?

Well, whatever it is (or wishes it were), it sure looks great!
