I remember getting that album as a "Nice Price" cassette.

What's that song about, anyway? Were the Red Rockers early advocates of globalization and outsourcing? Or was it ceramic plates and cups?

I don't know about the verses, and I've never heard of the Red Rockers, but I liked the chorus. Good singer.

I've never heard of them before, but as soon as the video started I recognized Jim Reilly of the Stiff Little Fingers as the drummer.
SLF were much better. ;)

I saw them open up for U2 on the 'Unforgettable Fire' tour. I remember one of the guitarists played a RIC 620-12. I too bought the "Nice Price" cassette. lol

Wow, that song takes me back...it was a staple here on KROQ.

Thanks for bringing it up, Jaymi. I'll look for it on i-tunes!

Yeah Jerry,I remember those days of KROQ well..Good 'ol Poorman,Blade,Ramondo,Swedish Egil and all the others in the early 80's..

I'll never forget the time Poorman froze a cockroach and then thawed it out in the sun to see if would still be alive..While waiting,he played "Melting in the Sun" by INXS..Every time I hear that song,I think of that day sitting on the beach listening..Every radio was on the same station.

Yeah. KROQ was the hippest thing on the planet in those days.

First station to play Van Halen, BTW. Probably only that one time!
