Ampeg warrinty

i've got an ampeg svt 4-10 hlf cab with a blown speaker. anyone have to deal with ampeg before?

thanks Garret. who pays for shipping ? maybe they will just send me a replacement speaker. i bought this cab new 4 months ago. i hope this doesn't happen again for a long time.

No problem Lonnie,
So, if you deal direct with Ampeg and they want you to ship the bad speaker back, that's your part to pay. Then they'll ship the replacement back to you on their dime.
If you got it from a local store and work through them you may not have to pay shipping and it could just be warranty replaced.
I'd like to hear how it all falls out.

an ampeg B500DR head and my ric 4003. we were just jamming. my master volume was about 2:00 and the channel was about 10-12:00 with the eq rather flat. i only have the 4-10 cab.

That's only 350W at the cab's 4 ohm rating. I was concerned you were using a low power amp and hitting the limit of the amp putting DC through the driver. I use a 3 Pro which puts 450W into my SVT410HLF, with no problem - the cab is rated to 500W.
