Anyone know what kind of strings would be good for a 4003FL? Any help is appreciated.

Gerald , I use flatwound Chromes on my FL & it sounds great. Good RIC tone and good mwah.

I really love my LaBella flatwounds. Low tension, great feel and most of all, they still deliver that Rick tone.

I use the LaBella black tapewounds. They play easily, sound great, and match the Black Trim well.

How are they on the neck? After a while would the neck get damaged and worn?

I've only ever used the tapewounds and they are OK, flatwounds should be OK too. I've seen some neck damage from roundwounds on a fretless.

I second the vote for the Chromes. I use them on two of my fretted Ricks, and they are excellent strings. The price is reasonable too, compared to other brands of flats.
