Another successful surgery

Just wanted to let everyone know that my '05 4003 has successfully undergone a Badass I bridge installation. The interesting part about this is that it required no new body routing. My repairman just filled in the route from the bridge mute with a custom fitted maple block and screwed the bridge on. The action is definitely to my liking - not too high and not too low. Even though the bridge can't get SUPER low action on the Rick, I wouldn't have much use for that anyway since my playing style in on the aggressive side. The action is lower now than it ever has been. The sustain has also improved. I am pleased with it so far, and I think it's ultimately a much better part than the Hipshot one, which is on its way back for a refund. It actually looks wicked cool with the plate I got from Pickguardian. Wish I had some pics but I don't have a digital camera.

I had the same thing done to my 4002 back in 1980. Here is a picture of how it looked before I reversed the mod just a few weeks ago.

Jim can you post some pics of it? I'm also interested in swapping the bridge...
