Questions on my 650... Frisco or Excalibur?

I have a 1992 650 in african vermillion. I bought it advertized as an Excalibur but only saw it later called a Frisco.
And there's 2 other things that are different from the models I have seen on pictures:
1. I only have one truss rod instead of two!?
2. The part where the neck attaches to the guitar is not in an angle... it straight!?
So can somebody explain to me what makes my Ric Excalibur 650 so different from those I see on Björn Eriksson's site?

Same guitar, just a name change. I got so tired of hassling a wide field of infringers over the use of "Excalibur"- along with the fact that it just doesn't fit our naming profile- that I sold the name to one of the infringers!

A '92 would've been an Excalibur but its the same as a "Frisco". Cool guitar. I owned a '93. It was heavy/dense and had a "snappy" tone. Sort of Tele-like.

All Rick necks are parallel to the body face.

Except acoustics.

Fair enough to me, Mr. Hall. From now on I'll call it a Frisco! Image
Paul, I don't think you understood what I meant, so I will try to take a picture to show you what I'm talking about. My vocabulary is limited since I'm french and I don't always explain things the right way!!! So a picture is worth a 1000 words, they say!!! I'll get it as soon as possible! Thanks!

Paul, I believe he's talking about the neck heel profile. My 650S has an angled heel (to fit your hand when you're playing high on the neck). Evidently his is squared, or not angled.

Explique le en francais pour voir si je le comprend. Je ne suis pas certain qu'il aille trop trop de francais ici, sauf deux qui me saute a l'idée, mais si tu réussi à me faire comprendre je peux essayer de le re-expliquer en anglais.

Some of the earlier 650s had a round heel. Here is a shot of the current design. I have a photo at home of an earlier one that I can post later today, if I can find it, unless someone beats me to it .

Here is the rounded one from a 650 Frisco. Note the added slab to make up the body thickness. I think this belongs to a forum member.

This is exactly what I was talking about Ken!! I'm glad to see that there are others like mine...I was starting to wonder about the authenticity of my guitar!!! Thanks Nick on the offer, I guess it won't be necessary anymore...but it's good to know for future reference! Image

Here's a guitar exactly like mine and you can see the heel compare to the new ones!
