See, it appears to have been sanded. By the Incredible Hulk.

At least $700 worth of parts on that one.

The body has to be worth $300 dontcha think?

I sent a back door offer of $850.

I likely won't be the only one!

Yeah, it is one of those rare black-necked satin-finished, relic-ed models from the 70's with an il-fitting TRC. Just like in the catalog. I really like the old finish residue around the jack plate. Nice touch.

Did the factory ever do a custom MG with hints of ruby, metalic blue, and a metalic blue neck back?! :D

What WAS that seller smoking when the description was amended to read that the sanded-down Pawn-Shop-Five-Finger-Hot look was its original finish?

Had to have been laced with something non-agricultural...........

Dale or Paul, could you save it? if so, i'm in Canada - but would ship it straight to whomever can bring it back.

Yes, based on what I can see in the pics it could be saved.

I already had a fellow call me from back East, he wants to buy it and have it restored, if he can get it for around $800.00, shipped to my shop and restored for under 1K... I think it will go for about that..

Oh my god! I was like, "Hey, this is in my price range!" and then of course, I saw that everyone was offering $800-$1000. Alas. It looks like it would be a pretty kickass bass. Someone *better* put real walnut wings on the headstock!
