TR7 With An Attitude

I purchased a used TR-7 several months ago and I am just amazed at the gutsy performance that this little amplifier puts out. At 7 watts this sounds more like 20. The tremelo and distortion circuits in this solid state wonder are great features and harken back to the 1980s. Well done Rickenbacker International Corporation. Too bad they don't make these anymore.

Gee,
I think I saw something like that for $75 today!
Might've had one less knob and plastic corner guards like a Crate.
Methinks I should DO something about this!
Nice dog pic too, BTW. "His Masters Voice" RCA throwback?

Steve: You are the first to make the connection with the RCA ad. Well done. Yes, I picked up this amplifier for about $67 US. What a remarkable little amp with some interesting bells and whistles. You won't be disappointed with it. We gave "Nigel" a home when his owners could no longer keep him. The greatest dog ever. By the way, you can't guess the name of John Lennon's dog. Yup, Nigel. A pleasant coincidence.

Yeah, gotta get that lil' ol' amp just because!
Our dog could care less about my playing, but when our youngest son's heavy metal band rehearses in his bedroom, she won't be left out!

Turns out the local $75 amp is a GR-6 or 8: 12 watts; 1 X 10". Sounded crispy and nice, but can't score it just yet (no dough).

Junpnjk1: The most likely place to see a Rickenbacker Amplifier these days is on eBay. I also hear from others who seem to find them at Pawn Shops. I found mine by telling my local music store that if they heard of anyone selling "anything Rickenbacker" to call me first. It worked.

Hello, all

My name's Brendan, and I have a lovely Rickenbacker TR-7 for sale. Just wondering if anyone would like to buy this lovely 7-watt solid state amp. Due to its special circuitry, however, it sounds more like a 25 watt amp, and it has barely any problem keeping up with drums and a bass. I've had this amp for a few months, and I have absolutely no complaints; rather, I decided I'd like to try a tube amp. I am free for calling at 215 643 3277, and let me know if you are interested. I'm asking $110 O.B.O. I'm flexible! Let me know if you have any offer! 215 643 3277,

I'm sorry, but the TR7 is not for sale anymore. I decided it really is a great little practice amp, and I cannot part with it. Thanks anyway, guys
