I am currently using GHS bass boomers (just because that's what I've always used). They have pretty good tone, but I've been thinking lately that I'd like a lower tension string to compensate for my slightly high action. Any suggestions?

First I have to ask, why is the action high? Maybe a good setup is all your bass needs. Boomers are relatively soft strings and should not be putting any undue stress on your neck. I suggest starting with the truss rods and bridge adjusters. Make sure the neck is flat. Ricks setup best when the neck has little or no relief. What year and model is your bass?

If you want very low tension roundwounds, get TI Jazz Rounds.

it's an '05 4003. the bass has been in the shop for a while and i got used to my super low action fender fretless. so even though the action isn't super high, it still feels awkward in comparison. like james jamerson, i think that, despite its inconvenience, high action gives your tone a power that low action can't get. i prefer 45-105.

To a certain extent, tension is related to the guage of the strings. You may want to try and readjust to a lighter set.

I just put some Rotosound 66 swing bass strings on. The guage is slightly lighter, but they are much easier to play. They're also less twangy.
