As if you didn't already know!
I'm still just a 47 year old bass hack and two Rics are not enough to satisfy...
Does it ever subside, this feeling?
It seems to carry over into support gear as well.
Just this past week I bought a Fender 300 watt tube head, some NOS RCA and Mullard tubes...
...and I feel great!

Ray, I started out with one Rickenbacker 12 string and three years later ended up like this. There are another ten guitars not shown in the photo

Just as I feared...I'm doomed to a life full of beautiful instruments!
Thank you god!

Oh Good Lord, am I too doomed? I was watching a movie with some friends this evening. Paying attention to the sound track, I heard several electric guitars being played at various times. And I wondered to myself "What would that sound like if it were played on a RIC?"

Jared, Thanks for being the first person on the planet to comment on the colour of my wall!

It's actually a very "old fashioned" colour called "pale au de nil".
I chose that colour because it sets off the FG and JG just nicely.
And thanks for NOT commenting on the patched-up drill holes where I screwed up the location of the wall batons!

I started with a 330FG in January, 2005. Then I was told by somebody here that I
had to get a 12 string to go with it, so I bought a 660/12.
Things sort of snowballed from there and now I have 10 Rick guitars and a bass!!

RAS/GAS never goes away. It is a permanent condition. It may lay dormant for an undetermined period of time, but generally, when the afflicted has an accumulated sum of "latent" cash, that is, cash not spoken for in terms of bills, etc, the afflicted then will generally have an outbreak of RAS/GAS, often severe. These outbreaks generally provide a feeling of intense euphoria.
God knows I need one soon.

I get GAS a lot. I only get RAS twice a year. Is there a cure for either? My wife is really keen to know.
Nice collection Darren. I suspect that your wife is a saint too.

Oh no, there's no cure.

I was going to check myself into rehab, but spent the money on another RIC.

MUCH better use of the funds. After rehab, you have no new Ricks. Skip the rehab, you get to buy more Ricks instead! No question, more Ricks BETTER

Brian, you should see the architect plans my wife has had drawn up for the extension to our house. She's been plotting this all along, letting me merrily accumulate guitars, whilst she's been designing the Taj Mahal!
At least I'll get more wall space to hang the rest of the guitars!

Ha! I knew it Darren. She has a "master" plan also. Our wives must talk behind our backs methinks? They seem to be far too aligned in their thinking.
I have spent the evening cruising the web looking for a 660/6 in a highly flamed or figured FG. Why am I doing this to myself?
